Last week, Deputy Chief of Mission Maggie Nardi opened a U.S.-sponsored regional counter-proliferation course at the Regional Arms Control Verification and Implementation Center (RACVIAC). The Proliferation Pathways course is a partnership between the U.S. Embassy, European Command, and RACVIAC aimed at fighting crime and building relationships between law enforcement officials in different countries. The workshop included participants from throughout the region and addressed all aspects of modern proliferation including how the networks succeed, the mechanics of proliferation and modern surveillance and detection.
