Last week Florencia and I celebrated 8 years since we founded Candela Dance Productions, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude for everyone’s support of our classes and events! Firstly I must thank the loyal students who attend our weekly Cuban Salsa, Kizomba and Zumba classes week after week after week after week – you are the foundation on which everything else we do is built upon and we appreciate your support so much! To all our instructors, assistants, staff, volunteers, patrons and friends, it is a blessing to call you our extended Candela family! To all our fellow instructors, performers, DJs and musicians that we have worked with over the years at our various events, thank you for your hard work, it is a pleasure to share the stage with you all! Thank you to the 300 dancers that brought their amazing energy to our monthly event ‘The Latin Club’ on Saturday night to help us celebrate this milestone with one crazy massive party! Thank you to everyone who was a part of the historic 1st Australian Kizomba Festival earlier this year, and we thank everyone in advance as well who is looking forward to attending this summers’s upcoming Portsea Summer Latin Festival! ON THIS NOTE I would like to share some incredible news which is an absolute career highlight: next week Florencia and I will be travelling to Europe where we will be performing Kizomba at the Dutch Kizomba Festival in the Netherlands, and teaching a Kizomba Workshop at the LIKE Festival (Lisbon International Kizomba Energy) in Portugal! It is an absolute pleasure and honour to be representing not only our own hard work and efforts with Kizomba here in Australia, but for us to acknowledge the growing Kizomba community of instructors and dancers around Australia too! This is just the beginning – dreams can come true!!!
