Last week, I had the chance to chat with my friends dad, who Ive known for years. Turns out that he was in the USN joined in 1945 with his twin brother, and since the War was virtually over, he was allowed to serve with his identical twin brother by his side. He was witness to the atomic bomb testings in the Marshall Islands and Bikini Atol, he gave me first hand stories of the ships and the testing of animals on the ships, he actually saw the bombs and mushroom clouds. Amazing to sit and listen to what Ive seen on the History Channel first hand! He is a wonderful man, coming up on his 90s, and still sharp as a tack. I didnt only suggest that he write it all down, I damn near demanded it. Hes a true treasure! Long live Richard Boyajian and his amazing history! Love ya Pops!
