Last week I was in a country with others handing out bibles to people that had never owned one, meeting Pastors that within the last month had been dragged out of their homes and beaten with rods for preaching the Gospel, sat in front of a prison warden that said there is no power in the Name of Jesus, and commissioned 30 church planters to plant 100 churches in the next year in this type of environment. Today I drove to church without fear of real persecution and will preach to a group of people with unlimited access to Gods Word but yet many of which choose to ignore it and instead complain about important issues like sports, weather, hunting and food (Im also not immune to being spoiled by USA). Father, I pray today that you will allow me to bring the message today from a place of passion for hurting and lost people and not a place of anger at our voluntary ignorance! Bring on Sunday morning!
