Last week, I went to see my friend, Ravi Coltrane at the Village Vanguard. I have not seen Ravi on stage in a long time. He was amazing! As I sat there enjoying his concert, I couldnt believe how much he looks like this father! I have not been in the Village Vanguard in many years. That place holds so many fond memories. I played there with my father and I watched countless jazz legends perform on that stage. Ravi had a great turn out--the line extended around the corner. As sons of two jazz icons, Ravi and I share some much in common. Heres a photo of Ravi and I from the other night.
