Last week LifeLongs Health Promoters began cooking classes at Lincoln Elementary and Nystrom Elementary in Richmond and at De Anza High School in El Sobrante. During the six week course parents are taught how to make healthy choices when cooking for their children and families. We partner with 18 Reasons to provide these classes and have been using the Cooking Matters curriculum for three years. Participants are given the main ingredients after each class so that they can recreate the recipes theyve learned at home.
