Last week, a day after the English publication of Colourless - TopicsExpress

Last week, a day after the English publication of Colourless Tsukuru Tazaki, I was travelling to Tokyo for a week. I got to read Tsukuru Tazaki in the long bus rides, and also did mini-pilgrimage. (Spoiler alert!) Ill be posting a few pictures here, along with descriptions. Some places I visited: - (1Q84) I visited Azabu area, but of course I didnt find the Willow House. Its both an elite dining/shopping area and residential area at the same time, and its probably the most elite area Ive ever been to in my life. - (Norwegian Wood) I went to Waseda University in Shinjuku campus, I believe this was where Toru Watanabe studied and Haruki Murakami himself. However I believe the university layout has much changed today from back then - there were so many modern buildings as I made my round. - (Colourless Tsukuru Tazaki) I went to the JR Shinjuku many times, to do what Tsukuru did - sitting on a platform bench to watch the trains. - (Colourless Tsukuru Tazaki) I went to Tokyo Station - Yaesu exit. In the book, Tsukuru was able to sit here and look at the train passing, stopping and pulling of the platform, but I couldnt find this bench... Probably this place is just made up in the book. Yaesu has Central, South and North exits, but ultimately theyre going to the same place.
