Last week started off with more heavy rain and deep mud, however Absher Construction prevailed. Their crews removed the remaining wall forms and their subcontractors finished up the installation of underground utilities. State Construction was able to skim off the top layer of mud over the whole site and install rock for the cap break – which also allowed the crews to finally get out of the mud! They finished the week preparing the under-slab surface with wire mesh and vapor barrier. On Monday they finished installing the slab components, which allowed us to pour the garage slab on grade yesterday, shown in this video. The deck forms will deliver to the site on Wednesday and crews will start installing shoring for the second floor deck. The deck should be completed and ready for inspection with the next two weeks, after which Absher will pour the concrete, and continue working their way to the top of the building.
