Last week we asked you: What is one thing you wish you knew when starting seminary that you know now? OR, What do your students struggle with in class? Here are some of the great things you told us: —I wish I had known how helpful it would be to 1) Understand a church budget, and 2) Know how important it would be to tell stories (sermons). —My students struggle with the notion that some rhetorical invention makes the utterance more true rather than more of a lie. —I wish i had known how much i might need to rely on what i learned later in real-life ministry situations, i might have paid more attention. —I wish that the place of the local church had been more central to me when beginning seminary. Seminary without the church is nearly useless. Say tuned as we announce the winners shortly!
