Last year I had an accident on the back of a trailer at my depot - TopicsExpress

Last year I had an accident on the back of a trailer at my depot were a heavy item fell from a dangerously stacked trailer onto my head. I was knocked out and later taken to hospital where I spent 8-9 hours had lots of tests done they said I had mild concussion and I had hurt my neck. I went onto have physio through work to help me back to health. I was off work for around 2-3 months and still to this day I have head aches and my neck plays up. Im back full time on nights and ever since Ive not been asked to tip a trailer. On Wednesday I was asked to tip a trailer I refused to tip the trailer and I gave my reason as I thought it was unsafe to for me to do so as the trailer was dangerously stacked as are most of the trailers we have in are dangerously stacked with them brimming and to the roof which is about 9ft high and heavy items such as sledge hammers sheets of metal etc are all well above head height. I had to have a mtg with my line manager today about this as he was unhappy that I had refused to tip a trailer and my union rep was present ! Do you think this was right firstly for me to refuse to tip the trailers and secondly do you think the height of the parcels on the trailers should be reduced to a safe height ? Any suggestions please
