Last year I sent one child to MRA, and though the idea was a little intimidating, it was a necessary move for her. In that year she matured so much and embraced a very different culture than public school and a much broader social and creative environment. Though I was admittedly concerned about the academics initially, I have been very pleased with the level of learning and the expectations. The year held a lot exhaustion with three different schools and three different schedules plus my work schedule. But as you know I have been recently been blessed with working locally and a schedule very compatible to MRAs. With a lot of thought and prayer we decided to transfer Nevaeh and Nehemiah, which is easier said than done with the wait lists to get in. Nehemiah was accepted in April, and we found out last week a space has opened for Nevaeh. They have both seen the incredible music and outdoor curriculum, as well as community there, and are both very excited about an active learning environment but nervous to leave what they have known and the friends they have. I think this will be such a good fit for our family, I feel very grateful that non traditional education (or more traditional, depending on how you wanna look at it) exist for our kids in our rural area.
