Last year I was on the verge of a meltdown when I was driving home from the office one day. I was pleading to God for answers and clarity about what I was going through. It was pitch black that day since it had been storming, but as I drove ahead a rainbow popped out of the clouds. I finally felt peace for the first time in a long time that day. I took it as a symbol of Gods promise that He would bring me through it. This morning on my way to work I saw a butterfly. I admit it really was the weirdest thing. It had just been raining. So I looked over to the lane next to me and saw something floating in the air above the cars just barely missing them. At first I thought it was a piece of a plastic bag or something of that sort, but as the cars cleared I saw it move towards the grass and realized that it was a butterfly. Not many of you know, but I have my favorite quote on my blog, a quote about a butterfly. To see that was special to me. I took it as a symbol of growth and beauty rising up out of the ashes. ♡
