Last year Mayor Geoff Szymanski directed me to contact the county and see what the county would do to repair a road they own and are responsible for in Lackawanna...It has been terribl;e driving on that for so many years..especially between Leonard and Dorrance ......I made some calls and sent a letter and advised the county that their manholes were creating a public safety issue on Abbott Road, a county highway.....the county had other roads in Erie County that needed the same repair with the manholes so the job was bid out to private contractors...If you notice the orange traffic cones on Abbott Road...they are there because a company is raising the manholes to street level...we finally wont have to swerve to avoid the manholes on Abbott Road....and we all will be saving on front end alignment issues with our cars...Thank You Erie County !!!
