Last year about this time I was fortunate enough to hear Maya Angelou speak at UGA. I wasnt especially interested in attending the talk, but Megan insisted I go and Im so grateful she did so. Ms. Angelou spoke for roughly an hour and seldom in my life have I encountered such eloquence, such humanity, such dignity, such kindness---in the greatest sense of the word. She had a lot to say, and said it all with love and unerring conviction. This planet was a better place for her time here, which is about as high praise as a person could hope for. RIP Maya Angelou.
