Last year, many good CBSE students decided to study B.Sc. and not engineering.... And almost all engineering colleges in India are connected to CBSE for admission process, because JEE is under CBSE... But if a student takes up B.Sc. he or she does not remain under CBSE anymore... So, how to compel students to take up engineering and not B.Sc? By giving students marks, which will disallow them from getting into good B.Sc. colleges.... If good students dont get good B.Sc. colleges, they will obviously turn towards Engineering... But, you may think that since JEE also tabulates Boards marks, JEE ranks will also decrease, right? It wont... Because of the percentile system... The actual marks will not be tabulated, the percentile is important, which will remain same if everyone in CBSE gets low marks... The percentile system is like ranking, you see.... You will understand this concept if you judge CBSE as an ORGANIZATION rather than a educational system... When you got admitted to a CBSE school, you start paying this organization via the school.... And you continue doing so till you get to Class 12, when you decide whether to change the organization... Then CBSE manipulates the system, so that you remain within the organization, and compel you to get into engineering, colleges of which falls under CBSE during the admission process... NOW THIS PART IS IMPORTANT: I am not saying that CBSE is not trustworthy anymore... All I am saying that they manipulated the marking scheme, according to their own need... Till last year, they only asked for stereotypical answers... This year, suddenly, they decided to go for creative answers... But they should have warned everyone before deciding to change the scheme.... This way, you can explain why well-known students got poor marks, but not-so-well-known students got such high marks... Well-known students stuck to stereotypical answer, for which they trained... But not-so-well-known students didnt know the stereotypical answers, and went for creative approach, and were rewarded accordingly.... This is my evaluation, my own point-of-view...
