Last year this time I was in the lobby of a veterinary hospital screaming bloody murder as I had just been told that my best friend in the whole wide world didnt make it. Dec 12, 2013 was a complete and utter nightmare for me. I was mad at God, and refused to pray for months! He would talk to me, and I would hear Him, but wouldnt listen. I couldnt understand why He would allow such tragedy to strike my life. I cried day in and day out, my heart was broken into a million pieces, and I had no clue how to go on or if I even wanted to. Ive never experienced such heartache in my life, and would wish those emotions I felt on my worst enemy. For the past 12 months, Ive been on an emotional roller coaster...ups and downs, highs and lows. Grief is the worst. One thing that was for sure was the love and support of my friends and family. The outpouring of encouragement, love, prayers and support was/is overwhelming. Thank You to all who were there for me. As spring sprung, things started to look a little brighter on the outside and the inside. I started to feel like myself again, I began to pray again, cry a little less, and allowed myself to become acclimated with my new city. Ive turned a new leaf, and have one hell of a testimony to share about Overcoming pain. God NEVER left my side even tho, I refused to listen to Him. I vowed to do as MacKynzi taught me during the 3.5 wonderful years I was blessed to be her Mommy, and that was to 1) stop and smell the roses sometimes 2) live life to the fullest 3) bless others with my presence 4)love unconditionally 5) smile and make friends with strangers 6) and leave an everlasting impression on the people who love me the most! I miss you everyday MacKynzi! Im so blessed to have had the opportunity to be your Mommy. I know you had an amazing life here.
