Last year we were hit with a holiday schedule where our weekly 5k runs occurred on both Christmas and New Years. We managed to keep our streak of 10+ years alive on both days due to true acts of giving from our volunteers and passion from those who came out to run. In looking back I will not forget last years run with Richie Halloran and Andy Panacopoulos as together the Three Amigos kept the streak alive on Christmas day (Thanks Ace, Alan and Judy, too). One week later we saw a sensational turnout for a 3pm New Years day start that brought out 43 runners and 11 volunteers marking a terrific way to start the new year. Tonight we echo the same themes and spirit as seen just over a year ago. Our Christmas Eve run at 4pm today was a good one for all. The rain and humid conditions didnt stop our 11 runners and I am so grateful for the kindness of Ace Foulds, Alan Foulds, Judy Jacoby, David Quinn and David Rand for supporting our run tonight. My congratulations go out to all of our runners who completed tonights 5k (named below). Hats off to our early XMAS winners, Beth (her 1st first place at Lake Q) and Mary (a most impressive 5k PR). Great accomplishments all over the board. I am really proud of you all.
