Last year when I ran for school committee there was a spot up for appointment that was held off (or so I was told told by both a selectmen and the school committee chair) on the premise of appointing the candidate who lost the election but had participated in the process. Then, instead, the selectmen and school committee decided unilaterally to completely disregard that and appoint their own pick. This year, they have recruited a candidate, coordinated campaigns and now an outgoing member has written an op ed supporting the other two candidates. This is some tough crowd to break into and subsequently, theres not a lot of diversity in terms of viewpoints on this committee. Please help me change this with your vote on May 20th and if you could, share this with a friend. Thank you.
