Abdallah El-Tayeb belongs to the well-known Al-Majazeeb Family, a family of old history in teaching the holy Qur’an. It introduced a great number of scholars, poets and writers to Sudan. It was one of the families that availed itself of all whatever available to acquire knowledge and culture. It combined between pure Arab and modern Western cultures. It delved in it and became a pioneer to modern Arab scholars of today in the fields of Arabic language, its history and arts. It we want to present Professor Abdallah El-Tayeb contribution to enriching Arab scientific heritage in the midst of the past century, and his impact on setting the major basis for national culture in Sudan, we should look at it through a modern mirror he created as well as the creation of other writers, poets and even politicians who paved the way with their cultivated thought of Sudans independence and had handled various issues related to human knowledge through a view independent of colonialist culture and connected Sudan since early 1940s with the issues of vital Aran nation – whose efforts culminated in Sudan emergence as an Afro-Arab independent state. Despite various ethnicities inhabiting Sudan, the history Arab entrance in Sudan, the falling apart of Christian kingdoms in the 16th century, emergence of Islamic Kingdoms, Al-Mahdisms victory over Egyptian-Turkish colonization (1885), had inspired intellectual and cultivated Sudanese and inflamed sentiments of loyalty to the homeland, preserving its unity and history and dealing with Arab culture not as a pass or bridge to Africa but absorbing it, adding to it and redrafting it depending on Sudanese nations civilized heritage throughout ages. When the Mahdist state fell apart (1885 – 1896) Sudan had fallen prey to neo-colonization and various kings of practices that drained its resources, attempts to disunite it, undermine its capacity and national loyalty in order to satisfy the demands of low administrative cadres in civil service. However, the movement of the cultivated who graduated in those schools dedicated their devotion to the Arab World, and succeeded in getting connected with intellectual movement. The pioneers generation had contributed to establishment of newspapers and intellectual magazine such as (Sudan Newspaper) founded by Hussein Sharif in 1903 appeared at the beginning of this century. He wrote incidents and history guide us, writers and poet in every nation and generation are leaders of nations; they are the key to close minds and hearts. Revelation lead by Officer Ali Abdul Latif that united the educated Sudanese under one body in their names in 1918; whose ideas and documents are perceived of the basis of independent Sudan, which eventually saw the lights in 1956. Professor Abdallah El-Tayeb, holder of PhD. from the University of London in 1950, had unarguably contributed to redrafting the ideas of the Graduates Conference in Sudanese life as educational and intellectual revolution in harmony with efforts by other cultured Sudanese in various fields of human knowledge in building modern Sudan in its present shape after 1956. He authored many poems, compiled in Asdaa Al-Neel published by Dr. Taha Hussein in 1960. The book was received by various critics.
