Late in the day @ Laguna Seca in Shelly Monforts Z06 (shes shotgun), with my *old* GoPro. No spot metering so its very washed out. But some good sounds.... I think but Im biased. Amazing those Hoosier A6s (not Rs)... which were not new held up to 6 sessions of this between us. They werent even new. In fact the fronts barely had grooves to start (and had them left at the end of the day too). :) But yeah, they are junk when hot and wear out in no time . Anyway... Youll see my lifting where youd think I shouldnt out of turn 5. Sound... and a 90 dB limit. All things considered Im pretty happy. Turns out Randy Pobst ran a 1:34.4 there in 2011 in a C6 Z06, but with the Z07 package including carbon brakes (and not lifting up the hill from 5 to 6). And Ive never been there before. Ever. Ill take it considering I was EBC Yellow pads and not race stuff. I rode with a guy in a ZR1 and the carbon brakes are amazing. I was much much more conservative on purpose with the brakes as I smoke a set of those on my FRC in November @ Summit Point and Laguna is much harder on brakes. But it seems the Z06s bigger brake rotors/better calipers, and ducting work somewhat better as they survived with meat left..... Never been there, not my car, not on race pads. I did a few 1:41s, thats ok with me.
