Late is the word! Missed my window of opportunity yesterday - TopicsExpress

Late is the word! Missed my window of opportunity yesterday morning and never had the chance to squeeze this in but then better late than never some might say. The Tillerman Show 2 2014 went off in its usual fashion with sound check performance from myself followed by check the lecky from new co-host Thomas Benson. Then the almost ever present early bird, who this time was prepared with acoustic bass in hand, Ian Jay, staple of Lomaxland, Tillerman Show regular and honorary Lomaxian stepped up to the stage and with the occasional sip of his black stuff, he delivered the first of his two acoustic bass performances. Through the graffiti of the sign-up sheet, I can just make out the running order but it might be wrong. Ged Parker took stage still mystified by the disappearing busking amp sager, gave us his original tunes to sing along to before Duncan then Sean gave us their well-crafted melody. Goggle action was happening all around as Roxanne de B gave us great portrait to add to the goggle gallery then sang her beautiful songs. Sordid Marauders back from their recent jaunt to London loaned us two parts of their line up in the shape of the great Joe Kelly and the man himself Daniel Du Noyer. Giving us a set before slipping up stairs main stage to perform for Jonny Mc Cauley Love Promotions night. Three Minute Hero stuck around long enough to give us more than three minutes which BTW was greatly appreciated. The ever growing Jordan Wright played upside down and back to front and what was once a bedroom affair is now a shared experience with friends and family in Lomaxland. Futurejack, also playing main stage were hanging around all oranged up and ready as the one and only Rob Clarke burst his Tillerman Show cherry all over the Cellar Bar stage! Wooltone, not just a band, it’s a brand! Ian Jay gave us the second of his two, as a much more balanced level of the black stuff evened and iron out those wrinkles. Up and down the night was as it should be in Lomaxland, peaceful with madness, happy sad Lomaxians gather for what we can now call ‘The Second Half’, when the night takes on a another wave of energy as the Cellar Bar swells again. Two parts of Jimmy & the Revolvers found their way to the stage. Ash and Dan had returned from their gig and confirmed the passenger status. I Notice, cameraman Joey Bözwell was done for the night, enough colour was framed and from form was forged foundation for ‘The Puzzle Factory’. Early airport runs meant the Kirkby road train was almost ready to leave. The night was left in the very capable hands of co-host Thomas Benson. He took stage and smashed out his tunes for the sing-a-long. Oscar was in there somewhere as was Jessica West, Rufus Hok, Dogstar Rose, Two Pints, Will Stockley, Benn Helm, Sean Padraig , Jim Baxter the new look Michael Bennett so on and so forth. If I have forgotten you, I do forget. We continue to the next page called tomorrow which becomes today in its own right, then yesterday as we say goodbye and hello again to tomorrow which will become today. Thank you to everyone who shares the experience. Until next time, when we return with goggle action, love living life, be safe & Be Free
