Latest MOD "Faux Pas" me thinks !!! .... Their " error " will see hundreds of service personnel ( re- enlisted ) without their lump sum and pension until the age of 65. My hubby has completed 21 years accumulated service, and 10 operational tours, and we have just been informed we get NOTHING !! This mis-communicated rule will affect all services, all ranks of anyone who is a " re- join " and thought they were in the bracket for pension entitlement, incl those in redundancy - this situation is now HUGE and causing a well deserved headache to the MOD but undeservedly life changing situations to forces men and women !! Could i ask all FB friends to sign an e-petition, also please communicate to any friends/family in the forces who may be affected :-( ... They so desperately wanted these experienced guys back in the forces, protecting our country, shame they cant extend the Loyalty and protect their pension and future !!! Apparently the ruling has been in for years however, has only just been retrospectively applied !!! 6 months ago we were given a forecast of our final payments ! This apparently was incorrect and they are " sorry " we were told otherwise but we do not receive a penny !! Wish i could have just said no to sub standard housing and jays Afghan tours !!
