Latest News - Sowing area under Kharif crop continues to increase this year. The total Kharif sown area during the week ending October 10 stands at 1046.32 lakh hectare as compared to 998.70 hectare at this time last year. Area under kharif crops has grown by about 10 lakh hectare during the week ending September 27. The total sown area stands at 1047.07 lakh hectare as compared to 993.99 hectare at this time last year.
