Latest Update From The Logan County Office Of Emergency - TopicsExpress

Latest Update From The Logan County Office Of Emergency Management: Jim Allen from Public Works has issued the following information. The *NO FLUSH ORDER, LIMITED WATER USE IS STILL IN EFFECT. We have seen that most in the community have been very cooperative and patient while we work to continue to resolve these issues. However, there have been reports of non-compliance with the order. Non-compliance will have strong ramifications for the community. We understand that this is a very trying time for everyone but we ask that as a community we pull together and cooperate to help prevent any further impact on our residents. Compliance is such a critical piece to helping us resolve the issues that are facing all of us in Logan County. The evaluation that has taken place up to this time of the waste water/sewer system has revealed that it may be an extended issue that will require time to resolve. Evaluation and maintenance continues around the clock and we are making progress. At this time, we unfortunately cannot give a definitive answer to when the no flush order will be lifted. Be assured that cooperation is happening between several organizations who are doing everything we can to continue progress and ultimately resolve this issue. We need to pull together as a community to help support the efforts being made to get Sterling back to normal use of waste -water. We thank you for your cooperation and compliance. *Merino is still asking for voluntary minimal flushing and limited water use. This request is in effect until Monday, September 23, 2013.
