Latest message from Madras Motor Sports Club Officials (MMSC) with respect to Helmets for 2013 Indian National 2W Racing championship - Read below ------------------- Message start ---------------------- Dear riders, As the racing season is fast approaching, you must keep the following in mind: 1. Only FIM/FMSCI approved helmets will be allowed .Please go to fmsci.in for details. The procedure of selecting the right fit is also given. Riding suits, gloves, boots should not be torn, taped or patched up. The decision of the scrutineer will be final as this is a safety requirement. 2. All riders / tuners going on to the track will need to sign an affidavit-cum-indemnity which is available even now, at the Club office. The Club will issue an acknowledgement on receipt of the indemnity, which must be produced before entering the track, for racing. or practice Failure to produce the card will mean that another set of the indemnity has to be signed. The cost of the same is Rs.150/= and validity is the calendar year. A separate document will have to be signed for the KMS Track at Coimbatore. 3. All riders in the National Championship races MUST take a CASHLESS MEDICLAIM policy for a cover of Rs. 3 Lakhs. The premium varies according to the age of the rider and will be quoted accordingly. As per this policy, any accident, howsoever caused, in any part of India is covered. The insured MUST be an in-patient for at least 24 hours at the hospital listed by the insurance company. Under this policy, no compensation is payable. Riders in the ONE MAKE RACES are strongly recommended to take this cover. FMSCI covers all competition license under a Group Personal Accident policy. Under this, the patient has to first pay the hospital .and then claim. The Club will coordinate this exercise and payments have to be made to the favor of the Insurance Company direct.
