Latest news from Toronto: Mum surprised dad and Paul this morning as when they arrived she had fed herself her breakfast. And later went on to manage most of her lunch on her own. Tomato soup and salmon sandwiches followed by fruit salad I believe. She was also taken for a walk in her wheelchair to one of the corridors with views over the city including the tower. This good news has been soured by news that the insurance company are yet again dragging their feet, not communicating with dads proxy in the UK, and generally being unhelpful. Initially they said they would fly mum back when she is off the anti virals and had a settled 24-48 hrs after however that period is nearly over and they are still not able to give a date of when their assessor will visit mum and escort her home. The hospital are happy that mum should be back in the UK by now and have given insurance all the info the need. That on top of the fact that they never contacted dad to advise and aid him, he has had to make all the running, is quite frankly disgusting. Their delays are costing them but also taking a toll on dad. Also the hospital say mum will recover better in more familiar surroundings. So PLEASE insurance with get it sorted #bringmumhome
