Lauren Bogie update.....Pins remain in her left hand...prognosis for the hand is not good. The bones are SO tiny, it is virtually impossible to repair them. It is likely she will require additional surgery on her hand. Currently, we are awaiting a surgery date for skin grafting for the 3rd degree burn on her hip. As Jaws assisted in removing her from the vehicle, metal was heated and she sustained a serious burn to her left hip. Her physician has advised the skin graft to prevent a siege of infection and promote healing. The GOOD news is...SHE IS UP AND WALKING WITHOUT A WALKER!!! She continues physical therapy, and must stay in her wheelchair for another month or two, but she is able to walk around here at the house and up and down the sidewalk. We are BLESSED!
