Lauren and Carter challenged me to the #icebucketchallenge but I chose to donate/do a triathlon instead... Ive been on the fence about the challenge because living with ALS is much more difficult than dumping water on your head. The only time I have cried at work is because I treated a woman who was my moms age with ALS, she couldnt even move enough to have a regular call light and had to have a button placed below her chin to call for help because all she could do was nod. I watched this video for the first time in 2005 and remember crying-then watching it the next year when his friend rolled across the finish line on his behalf I cried again! Anyway, every year someone runs the ironman and rolls across the finish line for Blazeman, who died just a year and a half later. Personally, I think wearing #179 and rolling across the finish line is more meaningful that the ice bucket challenge :) #nexttriathlon #teamblazeman youtu.be/9Vrjp2P0GlE
