Laying here trying to go to sleep and I am dwelling on a message I was sent by a young person. I have been doing youth ministry for 14 years. I have always been told to hold on to the little moments and tonight was one of them. I always figured I was a good influence on young people and I always may not have been the best and like any leader struggle at times but how do they see me. Well the word mentor or friend comes to mind but many times it is more. God has allowed me to become a father/uncle figure to a young man. Those are their words. I am so thankful but also humbled at same time to think that God has allowed me to be a father figure to someone. I may not have children but the youth I have come in contact with and connect with are my children. Thank you God for what you have done in me and through me and I pray you will use me to impact the youth I come in contact with.
