Laziness: a major enemy of progress (part 2) 010714 Text: proverbs 12:24,27,proverbs 18:9 1 timothy 5:8,proverbs 10:5 Continuation on the factors that encourages laziness and hinders us from progressing in life. 11. Lack of forecasting the future: Many are lazy when they cannot see their future or they refused to see their future. A man who fails to plan,plans to fail. A lazy person cannot see the future because he is blind to it and he is comfortable in his state of comatose or idleness. 12. Ignorance: many dont read to get knowledge. When you read,you have the tendency to learn from peoples experiences when you read books about them and you then get knowledge on how to force yourself not to be lazy. The best form of getting yourself to hardwork is from learning from peoples rising to glory and falling to grass and preventing ourselves from making mistakes that they made. If you want to keep a treasure from a fool hide it in a book. Many even want to know God but search the wrong paths..the best and effective way to know God is by reading the Holy book called the Bible. Motivational books and romantic book reading or novel reading does not make you wise because many have enslaved their lives into reading the wrong books. A spiritual lazy person is someone who can finish a Shakespeare book but find it hard to read 5chapters in the bible. 13. Reliance and looking for prophecies/dreams: many are chasing prophets and pastors about for prohecy and visions but are lazy to ask God to show them directly the way to fufilling them. Am not saying prohecy seeking is a bad thing but it must be controlled and moderated.if you must meet a pastor or prophet regarding a prophecy or dream it must be for interpretation or guidance. Many when they hear good prohecies and visions about their future,they tend to relax and reduce their efforts in what they do,even some do nothing about it with the thought that it is automatic they come to pass. Joseph,david,isaac were people in the bible that saw prohecies ahead of them directly and indirectly,yet they were not lazy in pursuing it. God will tell you your future and destinty but he will not always tell you the difficulties,wilderness experiences,battles,temptations,hardwork to get there. Many have lost their dreams and lives to the wrong prophet or pastor who saw their glory..so dont be lazy to talk directly to God..No matter how long it takes. 14. Bad company/friends: You show me your friend and I tell you 80% of who you are. Like minds attacts and you only work with people only if you agree with them Amos 3:3. If your friend is lazy and playful no matter how hardworking you are,if you are not careful you wont know when you will end up lazy. A true friend will never lie to you when he sees you are less productive and lazy with your life,he will do his best to help you out. A thief or an armed robber is a lazy person because he steals what others earn to enrich himself,no matter how diligent he is in his robbery operation so like I said before laziness is not always when you have something doing. Ephesians 4:28 These points highlighted are very important to any christian to be careful about and I need to emphasise that a lazy person cannot inherit the kingdom of God. philippians 2:12,luke 9:62 Jesus can help you today..Lazy people cannot cope in heaven.. The most important part I want to tell us all is that your success is not complete if you dont make it to heaven. Our Lord Jesus himself was not lazy when He was here on earth,he will forsake his food for the course of the gospel and evangelism..John 4:31-34 He visited the mountains/wilderness to seek the face of God,studied the scriptures in the temple and showed love to others.mark 1:12,35,matthew 4:1-13 Many are hardworking yet they eat bread of sorrow to sleep..you need Jesus to come out of that bondage. Jesus Christ is all you and I need to enjoy and get the reward of our labour..Many today died when it was time for them to eat the fruits of their labour,similarly many died when it was time for them to be delivered. My prayer today for you is that every yoke of laziness that will hinder you from getting your reward on earth and getting your reward of labour in Heaven shall be consumed by the fire of the Holy Ghost..In Jesus Mighty Name..amen
