Lazlow is trying to eat a hot bit of sausage. Past experiance has taught him that Hot Food Is Hostile But Delicious so he is being careful. He approaches it, prods from a great distance with a paw to check the current temperature (and to see if it is just playing dead). He then approaches for a nibble, another nibble, then he reaches a bit thats too warm and backs off again. Then the process begins again. I let it cool enough that none of it is hot enough to burn, dont worry. But it is still super cute. :D
