Le me just start by saying that some of my family are Americans so this is not about nationality.........its about three things: 1) Regular police officers should not carry guns. Full stop. There is a need for armed police, that can be in no doubt, but when you have seen how SOME (I have good friends who are excellent officers) police officers deal with people first hand, I am in no doubt that giving them guns would easily triple our murder rate here in the UK; 2) Why, as Americans, do you insist on this 2nd Amendment right to bear arms??? This is the reason your police officers have to carry guns. Ordinary people do not need to carry guns!; 3) It still seems to be legal to kill black people, anywhere...(apologies to my family in America, who this does not apply to, I love you all very much, but this has got to stop)........one love x
