LeAnn Rimes will flip the switch on the Grand Ole Opry’s signature barn backdrop Oct. 22, turning it pink for the fifth annual Opry Goes Pink breast cancer awareness benefit show. Performers include Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis. Ricky Skaggs is the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum’s 2013 Artist-in-Residence. Skaggs performance on Nov. 18 will feature guests Emmylou Harris, Brad Paisley, Peter Frampton, Gordon Kennedy and The Whites. Martina McBride’s nationwide volunteer group Team Martina raised more than $27,000 in less than a month for Play Chastain, a playground for children of all abilities and needs in Atlanta. The second annual Passion For Fashion takes place Oct. 17 in Nashville. Co-hosted by singer-songwriter Danielle Peck, the fashion show and silent auction raises money for The Bootstraps Foundation. Clay Walker And Friends will present the Fourth Annual Chords Of Hope Benefit Concert Oct. 30 at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon. The show benefits the MS Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Steve Azar’s Second Annual Delta Soul Celebrity Golf & Charity Event June 6-8 in Greenville, MS raised $170,000 for The Steve Azar St. Cecilia Foundation. The non-profit was created to aid charity organizations in the Mississippi Delta. Alan Jackson will join the four-day MerleFest Apr. 24-27 in Wilkesboro, NC. Drummer Cactus Moser will be honored during the 13th annual Pathways ‘Matters of the Heart’ Golf Challenge and Gala Weekend Oct 11-12 in Dallas. Proceeds benefit Pathways Military Family Fund, Special Needs Family Fund and the General Fund. Moser and his wife Wynonna Judd will attend. Hank Williams, Jr. will headline the fifth annual Music City New Year’s Eve Bash on Broadway in downtown Nashville. The event includes multiple days of free live music and the midnight “Music Note Drop”.
