For more information, visit the companys website at ge Posted Position Title: Lead Application Engineer - Centrifugal Pumps Career Level: Experienced Function: Sales Function Segment: Functional Management Location: United Arab Emirates, Egypt, India, Lebanon, Pakistan U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: Abu Dhabi Postal Code: Relocation Assistance: Yes Role Summary/Purpose: We are currently seeking high energy, self-motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of an” Application engineer for Centrifugal Pumps” (AE) for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of new applications, working in conjunction with product management, sales and engineering teams to define the best configuration for each customer and define the technical requirements for new product development efforts. Essential Responsibilities: Main responsibilities: Be accountable for overall Project proposals in the sales plan; Support the Sales Force in opportunity development/assessment with Customers; Manage daily priorities and work on assigned projects or processes; Use effective problem-solving skills and documents to communicate results of generated technical data; Provide accurate and timely data, which may involve direct interaction with internal and external customers; Establish working relationships using clear and concise writing and speaking skills; Align sub vendors proposals according to customer’s MRs and relevant applicable technical specs guarantying quality completeness and time responsiveness; Participate to Risk Assessment processes, deal strategy reviews and cost out reviews during proposals preparation defining the best technical solutions; Track, monitor and report the assigned project/s; Communicate openly with management about the status of projects to facilitate the evolution of business strategies and increase our hit rate on current and future projects; Achieve the highest possible scores on our defined metrics. Qualifications/Requirements: · BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Minimum 3 years experience in a technical role, preferably developed in Oil & Gas Sectors (rotating machinery equipment preferred); Fluent English language; Interact with all facets of the organization with relationship and communication skill; Apply product knowledge with technical skills; Meet established due dates with excellent time management skills; Act as a contributing member of a team with team building skills; Full availability to travel for business purposes world-wide. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics: · Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only) · Prior experience with customer specifications review, proposal development, and contract development and negotiations is preferred · Risk Management Experience preferred - Knowledge of the application and requisition process · Strong oral and written communication skills · Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsTAWZIF
