Leading pet charity Blue Cross is asking pet owners across the country to nominate their favourite veterinary nurse to become Veterinary Nurse of the year 2014. The charitys award recognises the dedication and support that veterinary nurses offer pet owners. Not only by caring for sick and injured pets but also educating the public about responsible pet ownership and improving pet welfare. This year the award will be presented at the BVNA Annual Congress which will take place on 10-12 October at Telford International Centre in Shropshire. If you know someone who you believe has gone the extra mile for your pet or made a significant contribution to animal welfare, make you complete the nomination form on the Blue Cross website at bluecross.org.uk/BVNA2014 or contact Sally Leathem on 01993 825577. The deadline for nominations is Friday 5 September 2014
