Leake family: Maxine is showing some improvement in her bloodwork. She is no longer experiencing metabolic acidosis, a big relief. Shes been given another antibiotic to fight the pneumonia. We are most concerned about her unresponsive state. She rouses just a little but doesnt speak and doesnt really connect with her eyes, then shes gone again. Doc is optimistic, says things are moving slowly because shes old, but I dont believe that hoping for a good strong rally in the next couple of days.
