Leave Well Enough Alone Adding our two cents is something that we sometimes like to do. If not putting our say in, we want to fix things to make them better than they are. Other times we want to put our distinctive spin on something, so it leaves our personalize signature on it. When we execute, say or add these items, we can possibly make matters worse. Even as Christians we have to learn to leave well enough alone. Leaving well enough means knowing when God has handled it. If He has ministered a word of comfort to someone, we may think we have a word but we’ve got to exercise silence. When we have prayed about a finance change, we got to believe it! We can’t “rob Peter to pay Paul” or cut deals with the enemy to ensure that it is going to happen. If God has blessed us beyond the measure we thought, we mustn’t become greedy and ask for more. Those are moments when we should let go and allow God to act in his sovereignty. His thoughts and ways are not like ours. Not that our kindness, opinion or ministry opportunity is never needed. We should be in tune to what God wants first. Sometimes He has done it all and there is nothing left to do and we can mess up a God moment. Learning when to stay hands-off is following the lead of God. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.” Isaiah 55:8 (NIV) Have a Blessed Day
