Leaving this am for Baltimore. . This is the second loss of a precious life in 1 month for us due to the disease of addiction. Addiction is not something that someone chooses to have, it IS a disease. Im saddened when people make comments being uninformed. Addicts dont choose to be addicts, or choose to use their drug of choice. This disease makes them powerless, they have no control because the urge to use their drug is so strong. So please whoever is reading this, do not judge, do not frown upon an addict. They are human beings with a terrible disease and they need your help and support not criticism or judgement. ... If you have a loved one with this horrible disease, seek out a NA family support group and get informed. . Thats the best way to learn everything about the disease and help yourself through the madness that it creates in everyones lives. Www.nar-anon.org
