Lebanon: Twinning project launched to modernize tax administration An EU-funded twinning project worth €1.85 million was launched this week aimed at modernizing the administrative and operational capacity of the Lebanese tax administration. The 18-month project will ‘twin’ the Lebanese Directorate General of finances and the French Directorate General of public finances, and will reinforce management of public finances, improve the capacities and the transparency of the administration and adapt to the needs of the tax payers.
