Leesy here, not long now until Daves 100km trial this Friday 11th July. Dave will be leaving 12km north of Pottsville on the Coast Road at 6am. We are working on Dave achieving 80km as a par day during RAA2 next year. This Friday is more of a psychological landmark for Dave, to know that he can complete 100km in a day if he needs to up the ante towards the end of RAA2 to be in contention for the record. Hopefully he can do this, but just as importantly, pull up with no issues on Saturday. We have some people who have expressed an interest in doing a few km on Friday, anyone is welcome! We will continue down the coast road to Pottsville, Wooyung, Old Pacific Hwy. past Ocean Shores, Brunswick Heads, Uncle Toms at the Mullumbimby turnoff, Tyagarah, Ewingsdale Rd. to Byron Bay, 2-3 hour rest at Broken Head, Lennox Head, Ballina and finally up the cutting to Alstonville. There are no expectations in terms of times. I look forward to keeping you posted throughout the day (when I can) with updates on Daves progress.
