Left this on a Republican National Committee post. Im so happy I dont have a specific political party. :) I really find it amusing that republicans think that the president can do anything he feels. You do understand that just about everything he brings to congress gets shot down by the majority, which is republicans. Think about this, everyone talks about how the democratic party puts ideals over the people. Thats exactly what the republican party does. They say theyll do this and that during elections, but once in office, ideals are the main goal. I hear, Im a true American! from people all the time. What does that even mean exactly? Is it a way of life? Does it mean you have to be Caucasian to be a true American? I thought that America is the, Land of the free, and home of the brave. People sure dont act like its the land of the free, considering how people act towards immigrants and such who are looking for freedom. I get the fact that you dont want terrorist, but a terrorist doesnt have to be from out of the country. Your next door neighbor could be a terrorist and you dont even know it. What Im trying to get at is this: The government has been saturated with ideology over the peoples needs. Yes, the president has made mistakes. Name one president that didnt. You cant. It doesnt help that nearly the entire republican party just wants to see him fail. Its obvious that both parties dont like each other, but holy crap the mudslinging is just too much. So if you hate the president for whatever reason, youre going to have to deal with it for another 2.25 years. Theres nothing you can do but rant and complain. I say this is all you can do because the online petitions that keep getting created arent enough to get what you want. You have to have a certain number of people sign it. Im betting its at least one third of the population at least. I could be wrong though. Regardless, youre going to have to deal with this for 2 more years, then hope and pray that you dont have a candidate that doesnt even have a defeat speech ready just in case.
