Leg balance - 1 of the things that I noticed when Ive been to - TopicsExpress

Leg balance - 1 of the things that I noticed when Ive been to watch various shows this year was the lack of hamstring, glute and calf development especially in a lot of male competitors. Now from the front nearly everyone had decent quads so its telling me that a lot of people out there are not giving the less fashionable hams/glutes/calfs as much attention as they need to develop these crucial areas. You need to give these areas as much attention as you would the chest or arms if you want to do well in competitions, not just see them as an after thought at the end of a quad session. How I would separate my legs to maximize growth in these areas is to give Hams and calves there own day, really hitting stiff-leg deadlifts hard and with a lot of volume before pumping the hams up with various curls. I would then train quads and glutes on a separate day, personally Ive never done had to do any glute isolation exercises due to having glutes the size of a baboon thanks to good genetics and all the secondary work from my squats, leg presses, lunges etc being enough, but a lot of you out there will need to hit extra hip thrusts, glute kickbacks and abductors to fully develop this area, these exercises are not just for the ladies you know!!! So if your legs are lacking balance split your legs up over 2 days for increased volume, focus and intensity on each individual part to really take the overall look of your legs to another level. Train hard + eat clean = Results!! Ricky Moore
