Legal Awareness camp held at Kargil KARGIL, AUGUST 30: To create awareness among the masses about fundamental rights and duties, the District Legal Services Authority Kargil organized a legal awareness camp at Auditorium Hall Kargil here today. The Chairman, District Legal Services Authority and Principal District & Sessions Judge Kargil Mr. Tohir Khursheed Raina was the chief guest on the occasion. Among others, the Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil, SSP Kargil, Chief Education Officer Kargil, Principals of various educational institutions, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kargil, President Bar Association Kargil, Members of Bar Association Kargil and hundreds of school children participated in the awareness camp. During the awareness camp various speakers including school children delivered speeches on the topics like rights of women and children, right to education, right to liberty as well as basic fundamental rights and responsibilities of the citizens. The speakers stressed upon the student community to spread the knowledge of basic fundamental rights in their respective societies. Addressing on the occasion, the chief guest of the function, Justice Tohir Khurshed Raina appreciated the students highlighting various aspect of life which speak of broader vision among students of Kargil, which further speak of their bright future. He also highlighted the importance of the awareness regarding legal services. Later, the chief guest distributed prizes among students who delivered best speeches as adjudged by a committee. Miss Gulnar Fatima of Jaffaria Academy of Modern Education secured 1st, Miss Qurat-ul-Ain of Suru Valley Public School secured 2nd and Miss Farhana Amin of Government Girl Higher Secondary School secured 3rd position. The chief guest also distributed certificates among other participants on the occasion.
