Legal Secretary 1 with One year exp in Litigation (Downtown LA ) compensation: $17.00/hr. (firm) contract job We are actively seeking a stellar Litigation Legal Secretary for a confidential client in Downtown Los Angeles. The perfect Litigation Secretary will posses exceptional litigation skills with strong knowledge of State & Federal Court rules and excellent working knowledge of legal documents. Secretary will have strong written and verbal communication skills and will be able to do e filing and calendaring (Outlook). The ideal legal secretary must have excellent organizational skills, strong typing skills and ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word are required. Must be a team player and have flexibility. Must type a minimum of 55 wpm; possess excellent knowledge of Word/Word Perfect, verifiable past employment experience as a legal secretary. Will be working with litigation, business law and civil attorneys; will perform the full range of legal secretarial duties. Overall responsibility for performing all legal and administrative duties. At a minimum ideal candidate must be able to follow oral and written directions, use initiative and job knowledge to meet deadlines; prioritize workload, get along with go workers, heaving typing at times, court filings. Must be very accurate typist, must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the cases load assigned.
