Legendary Devils Lake, North Dakota $1100 for 3 day hunts $1800 for 5 day hunts. Includes lodging and bird cleaning. We have new 4-6 man cabins with a main lodge separate from the cabins. Hunts: We hunt goose/duck in the morning. Afternoon hunts are untill sunset. Field hunts for Snows/Blues, Canadas, and Ducks are from layout blinds and are usually one guide per 3- 6 clients max. We will arrange a variety of hunts to suit the interests of your group, and generally do not mix parties unless you have less than 6 hunters. When: Season opener is typically the last weekend of Sept or first weekend October. Variety of local Ducks (teal, Gadwall, mallards, pintail, etc.) For mixed bag migrant mallards, pintails, widgeon and Big Canadas the best time to hunt is Oct 12- Nov 24th Late season Big Canadas. 8 bird limit. Nov 1st - Dec 3rd. Game: Devils Lake is for their World Class Goose and Duck Hunting! We shoot Canada Geese We shoot mixed limits of ducks including Mallard, Pintail, Teal, Widgeon, ...just about every duck that travels the Central and Mississippi Flyways! Weather: The weather can vary greatly from morning and evening and from day to day. Temperatures can go from 20 degrees in the early morning hours to 70 degrees or higher in the afternoon. It may even snow in September! Location: We are located in the heart of the Pothole region of North Dakota. Travel time from the airport will vary depending upon the location of the migrating birds. Basic summarty of what we provide: The game is processed and froze, until you depart. Decoys and any other related items needed in the field. Accommodations are supplied We spot fields and arrange for hunting permission Variety of different blinds are used If there any other needs, we will do our best to accommodate them. The main airports are Fargo and Grand Forks are the main airports. We are located approximately 2 to 2.5 hours drive from each airport. Check map to ensure you understand where you are going. You will have to rent a vehicle to drive to camp and to transport you out to the field. Hunters seem to travel with a lot of gear. I have found that if you rent an SUV you will have a great place to leave your gear between hunts; this insures that you are comfortable. Things to Bring The weather conditions can change overnight, so come prepared. This can really add to the adventure of the hunt, as long as you are prepared for the conditions. Warm water proof clothing (cold wet weather) Light weight clothing (for warm days) Spare shotgun Coolers (transporting birds ) Shells Head lamp Trained dogs are also welcomed in exclusive groups as they like to hunt as much as we do. There are vet clinics only 30 mins away. Mixed groups dogs must be approved by the other parties.
