Lent is the Christian season of preparation before Easter. It - TopicsExpress

Lent is the Christian season of preparation before Easter. It started on March 5th and ends April 17th. Its observed for 40 days (Sundays are not included). The purpose of Lent is to set aside time to reflect on the sacrifices and suffering of Jesus Christ. Not all Christians obseve Lent but many will use this time to focus on fasting, moderation and spiritual discipline. Whether you are a Christian or not, I like to encourage people to consider taking the next 40 days to give up something that they see as a sacrifice. In the past, Ive given up diet drinks, sugar, tv, etc... This year my husband, Michael Middleton and I are reading Devotions for Lent from Holy Bible on our YouVersion app together each day, doing the 15 minute workout routine I posted below together every day with the exception of Sundays and while my husband is focusing more on the things he needs to do, like reading and cardio, Im giving up coffee and shopping for the next 40 days. Anyone else observing Lent?
