Leonardo DiCaprio, who was nominated again but did not win, falls into a large group, including Tom Cruise, Alfred Hitchcock and Samuel L. Jackson, who have been nominated, but who have never won an Oscar. It seems like every year you can see pretty much the same faces at this award show. Its kind of like the most-popular clique in high school. But take a look at this list of names, the unpopular outsiders, many of whom do as good of work as many continually nominated, but who have never even been nominated: Richard Gere, Claire Danes, John Cusack, John Goodman, Ewan McGregor, Steve Buscemi, Bruce Willis, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jeff Daniels, Meg Ryan, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Jim Carrey, Jamie Lee Curtis, Raul Julia, Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Isabella Rossellini, Carrie Fisher, Mia Farrow, Marilyn Monroe or even the highly prolific Donald Sutherland.
