"Leonora Bentley posted to OPPT South Africa: "Yesterday afternoon whilst returning from a short break on the garden route, I was pulled over by a Provincial traffic officer. After exchanging polite greetings, I was asked to present my driver’s licence. I smilingly responded with "No thanks", the look on his face was a classic. He repeated his request and my response was the same as before. I asked him whether I had committed any traffic violation. He responded with “No”, I asked him whether I looked like a stereotypical criminal; again he responded with “No”. I then asked him why he pulled me over and he told me it was his job. I politely asked him if he thought it made sense to pull over a 61 year old woman who was just minding her own business and ‘obeying’ the rules of the road. He again said “No” and never really gave it much thought. I then suggested he Goggle OPPT and Universal Commercial Code and a few others and he wrote them down as I explained why I respectfully declined his request and what I had learnt about our ‘so-called government and municipalities being listed as a corporation etc. and how we have been programmed to obey so many unnecessary laws like Rica, Fica and other ridiculous laws and how we’ve handed over our power. The officer listened with great interest and agreed with what I’d shared and agreed that he’d share the info with his colleagues. I then told him that I’d like to continue my journey and that I enjoyed our little chat. He smiled and waved me on. Man, I felt sooo good; I walked my talk. Fear is the opposite of Love - Fear will keep you locked up; Love will liberate you."
