Lesson for newer/younger bands: Walking to work today I came across two german dudes in Judge and Backtrack shirts, stopped them and said gday and pulled a monthly crowbar poster and handbills out of my bag and told them about the venue/my bands shows coming up. They opened the poster and pointed Straight at the Outright HC poster and were stoked cos theyre here for another two weeks. Told them about my band and that were playing a $5 show the night before and a free AA show the day after, we all shook hands/stuck tight and Ill see them here next week! Its not all about creating an event on facebook and inviting 500 people then forgetting about it and hoping to count staxx. Get a copy of the flyer from the promotoer/band/venue, go to officeworks and get a few hundred printed up, cut them out yourself and hand them out face to face.
