Lesson learned for my wife and her gardening: when you plant a half dozen squash seeds and think the insects have eaten them back far enough to kill the plants, give it another week or so to make sure the plants are dead before planting another half dozen seeds. I just harvested another dozen crook neck squash and have at least that many more blooms on the plants! We will have to find some new and interesting ways to prepare it since I am not very squash-friendly. Also picked another 9 or 10 Roma tomatoes from our two plants with plenty more that are green and plenty more blooms. Im hoping it doesnt freeze before we get all of them to ripen. Not much chance of that this week though...supposed to by up around 90 today and in the 80s the rest of the week.
